Under Mayor Breed’s leadership, our local economy continues to boom.  Jobs are increasing; businesses small and large are taking root in San Francisco; and their success is helping fund critical investments to combat homelessness and improve public safety. Mayor Breed’s administration continues working to improve city permitting processes, support small businesses, and attract conventions, visitors, and innovation.

But Mayor Breed knows we cannot call our economy a success if large numbers of our own residents feel excluded from it.  Before she ran for Supervisor, Mayor Breed served as the Executive Director of a community nonprofit in the Western Addition, helping youth from all over the city find training and jobs.  She is a product of city internship programs herself and is committed to ensuring everyone in San Francisco has the opportunity for a quality job with livable wages.
